Creamy Mushroom Toast with Thyme

Sauteed mushrooms in garlic and thyme, splashed with cream, on thick buttered toast.

  1. Saute mushrooms

    Saute 200g of mushrooms in 1 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp oil without stirring until browned. Add 2 cloves of minced garlic and 2 sprigs of thyme, then 3 tablespoons of cream to reduce.

  2. Add aromatics and cream

    Season with salt, pepper, and a squeeze of lemon. Spoon over buttered sourdough.

Slop Notes

Do not stir mushrooms immediately. Letting them brown first is what creates the deep savory flavor.
