Ingredients
- smoked oysters in oil 1 tin
- sourdough or rye, toasted 2 slices
- salted butter 2 tbsp
- hot sauce, lemon juice, cracked pepper to taste
- cream cheese, thinly sliced shallot optional

Toast and butter
Toast 2 slices of bread until deeply golden. Butter generously with 2 tbsp of butter.

Lay 1 tin of smoked oysters on toast. Add hot sauce, a squeeze of lemon, and black pepper. Add cream cheese and shallot if using.
